Diverse Ethnic GroupsTai-Lu

The Tai-Lu are also a subgroup of the Shan race. Most live in Sipsong-Panna of Yunnan China, and are dispersed throughout Shan State, Myanmar, as well as parts of Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam.

At Wan-Pawk Village, literally "Coconut Village", where the gentle slopes give way to a valley basin, villagers happily thresh the rice harvest.

Villagers at the river

The Tai-Lu usually build their villages near rivers. Villagers can be found at the river doing laundry or bathing.
